The pre-1990 Tikkakoski-made rifles are considered "sleeper" firearms. Because they were built before Sako streamlined production methods under corporate ownership, the M65 features old-world machining, all-steel assemblies (no plastic shrouds or trigger guards), and exceptionally crisp triggers. The bolt is still extremely smooth.
