Wichita Varmint Rifle 6 X 47

Description:
Wichita Varmint Rifle in 6x47. SOLD PENDING FUNDS The 24 inch stainless barrel has a straight taper from 1.2" at the receiver to 0.635 at the muzzle. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches to the Old English pad. Overall condition is excellent. The exception would be that the pad shows some deterioration. I will include a set of Bonanza Benchrest dies. Before Palmisano and Pindel worked their magic on the 220 Russian case the 6x47 (222 Remington Magnum necked up to 6mm) ruled the 200 yard benchrest game. Wichita Arms was a small company in Kansas that produced excellent quality products. Best known for their fine silhouette pistols, they also produced bench rest actions, beautiful and accurate sporter and varmint rifles, and one of the best bench rests of that time. My latest price list is from 1992 and shows retail on this rifle at $2,275.
