Description:
Standard configuration Bern K31 straight-pull bolt action rifle produced from 1933-1958, SN: 697283, made 1942, with 25.67" barrel, horizontally adjustable front sight, and tangent rear sight graduated from 1-15. Chamber marked with a deeply impressed Swiss cross within shield. The full serial number is on the left side of the receiver, the top of the bolt, and the bottom of the magazine with the last three digits on the barrel shank. Import marking on the bottom of barrel. Walnut handguard and stock, the right side of the butt impressed with a crisp Swiss acceptance. Accessories include a brass/spring steel accepted muzzle cap and a standard leather military sling, manufacturer marked and dated "52". Profiled in HI,LLC video. The K31 served as the standard-issue rifle of the Swiss armed forces from 1933 until 1958, gradually replaced by the Stgw 57 in 1958.
Condition:
Metal components at least VG+ with fading over the top and left side of the receiver. Comparable or better condition original finish matching stock though, upon disassembly, the handguard was shown to be a replacement, #819355. Matching barrel band (front), trigger guard, and buttplate. VG+ muzzle cap. G oil-soaked sling. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
