Standard configuration Waffenfabrik Bern K31 rifle produced from 1933-1958, this example made 1947, with 25.67-inch barrel, cal. 7.5x55 Swiss, SN: 976739, with straight-pull bolt action design and beechwood stock. Front sight with protective ears, adjustable insert, and tangent rear sight graduated from 1-15. Full SN: "976739" on left side of receiver. Top of bolt and bottom of magazine with the last 3 digits "739" on the barrel shank. "P" release lightly stamped on tang. Fitted with externally unmarked beech hand guard, stock, and military style sling. Target features include an added W/F Bern globe/post front sight and W/F diopter rear sight, both sights attached to the standard configuration rifle without alteration, each with a protective brown leather cover.
Condition:
The metal components are in near excellent original condition. Hand guard and stock, in comparable condition, may be replacements as the stock does not have any military acceptance on right side of butt. Not disassembled. The W/F rear sight has crisp adjustments, the diopter aperture functioning properly. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics.
