Very attractive Swiss military K31 rifle made 1944 with an original but unnumbered magazine, now with added Bern front and diopter rear target sights, easily removed without alteration, mirror bore and correct manual mechanics.
Description:
Standard Waffenfabrik Bern K31 Swiss Military rifle, cal. 7.5×55 Swiss, with straight-pull action manufactured from 1933-1958, this example SN: 797228, made 1944, with 25.67-inch barrel and walnut stock. W/F Bern globe/post front sight mounted over military base and the original front sight blade. Tangent rear sight graduated from 1-15. Detachable W/F Bern rear diopter sight, w/ plastic cover, allowing fine-tuned click-adjustable windage/elevation changes and several aperture options, no modifications made to receiver. Full serial number on the left side of receiver and repeated on top of the bolt; the last three digits “228” on the left side of the barrel shank. "P" release marking on tang. Unnumbered but Swiss cross accepted magazine. Standard walnut handguard and stock, the stock with acceptance on the right side.
Condition:
Near EXC metal components with minimal sharp edge wear and just a few flecks of superficial oxidation, largely on the trigger housing and buttplate. Same condition applies to the W&F Bern front and rear/diopter sights. Stock with very thin but seemingly original finish, a deeply struck acceptance on right side. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
