Description:
Standard configuration ZFK 31/55, one of approximately 5000 such rifles, an evolution of the K31 /42 and K31/43 sniper rifles, this one with telescopic sights, heavy barrel, flash suppressor/muzzle brake, and center-mounted foldable bipod. In addition to the standard K31 rear sight calibrated from 1-15, these guns were fitted with a quick detachable 3.5 power Kern telescopic sight, with serial numbering on top surface, whose reticle includes a thick central post with thin two horizontal bars. The receiver has a Swiss “cross over chamber” with full serial number on left receiver and bolt. Matching barrel, magazine, scope, scope can that includes screw driver. Sling from a M1911 rifle dated "21".
Condition:
VG/EXC original blue with sharp edge wear and light handling marks except as concerns the bipod whose surfaces are moderately scuffed. In-the-white parts are bright with minimal staining and there is relatively little wear on the magazine. Stock is G/VG with numerous bruises and handling mark discolorations, some quite prominent, but no cracks or repairs. Excellent original finish scope, can, and included screwdriver with crisp, bright optics and correct manual adjustments. G sling with oil staining. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. A nice, all-original Swiss Bern K55 sniper rifle with a mirror bore, bright matching scope and can.
