This unusual Walther Model 2 .22LR caliber rifle can be operated either as a bolt action or semiautomatic rifle. The 24.5"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The front sight is a standing post protected on the sides by a circular guard that is open on the top. The rear sight is a standard German military style tangent leaf sight. The rifle is equipped with a quick detach Hensoldt Wetzlar scope that is marked DURALYT 2 3/4X Nr.. 1628 on the tube. The optics, with an aiming post, are fine. The left side of the barrel has the German proof eagel followed by the crown over N proof followed by Nitro in sctipt. The right side has the crown over B, U, and G proofs and 5.4mm. The top rear of the receiver is marked Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis (Thur.) followed by the Walther banner logo. The serial number is marked on the trigger housing. The gun has approx. 98% of its bright blue finish. The trigger has 99% of its case colors. The deluxe  stock is excellent. It has a well-defined cheek piece, checkering at the wrist and forearm, fluted schnabel forearm tip, capped pistol grip, and 98% of its original finish. The hard rubber buttplate is excellent. The rifle has two high quality quick detach swivels installed. The correct 5-round magazine is present. The action functions correctly.
