Late war, all original, all matching, high condition Walther K43 German battle rifle chambered in 8mm.
Description:
This is a WWII K43 rifle made by the Walther factory. It has the late war cast receiver with the dual bolt guides, with the left side of the receiver marked "Eagle 359 Waffenamt/K43/ac 44/9168p". The bolt carrier is also the late war version that has reinforcingdirectly behind the front edge. The cocking knob of this version is still on the left side with bolt hold open latch on the right side. The action cover is the late war stamped version with the sliding dust cover. It has the standard front and rear sight with the standard length barrel that is not fitted with a muzzle nut. This rifle still has the scope base on the right rear side of the receiver. It has an original laminated stock and handguard stamped with "WaA359" Waffenamt proofs on the left side of the buttstock and on the pistol grip, lower spine of stock with an "Eagle/WaA C10". It is complete with one original WWII "K43" magazine coded "gcb" with a single WaA 892 proof mark. This rifle is complete with an original cleaning cloth still in the original pouch and a few extra parts.
Condition:
VG/EXC with phosphated parts retaining 98+% of original finish, a few small blemishes, the balance, especially under the trigger guard drifting to a subtle patina. Comparable condition stock with scattered handling marks and very minor indentations. VG magazine with usual insertional wear. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Great K43 rifle that would be difficult to improve.
