Walther German K43/G43 8MM Mauser AC44 Matching Serial Numbers Eagle/N Waffenamt Nazi Proof Panel Cut
Description: Up for sale is a perfect example of fine military rifle. Featured in this listing is a Walther (German) K43 manufactured Dec. 1944 at the AC44(Walther Factory). Late WW2 era production. Chambered in 8MM Mauser. The serial number on this rifle is 4903P. This rifle is a panel cut AC44 in the P block. The panel cut is the milled out side of the reciever where the K43 AC44 markings are. This is a more diserable feature in these rifles as it was discountined shortly after starting it. The panel cut rifles are scarce and hard to come by but a must for any K43 collector. This rifle has no serial number on the stock as the stock serial numbers were stopped when Walther changed the designation from G43 to K43 in late 1944. The stock is original laminated stock with color matching top piece. Located on the right back side of the reciever is the slot for a scope mount. This rifle had the option of being set up for longer range shooting or close combat. Overall on this rifle is the German Nazi proof stamps. located on the following parts, Reciever, Magazine, Trigger, Magazine release, Extractor pieces, top back of reciever cover, Stock. The top of the bolt is stamped backwards with 54 / 45. The bluing/phosphate on this rifle retains about 80-90% of original color. The coloring of the bluing has a nice patina to it. The serial number is matching overall on all pieces. The bore I would rate 8/10. It has some light pitting down it but believe it could posibly be cleaned with no issues. The rifling is strong and will make a great shooter. Overall this is an excellent rifle and would make a great collector piece.
