A super nice example of "Hitler’s Garand".
There is at the very least 85-90% of the original factory finish remaining. Even the rough cast receiver and bolt carrier do not show the usual flaking. The bulk of the loss is on the trigger guard and some sharp edge silvering.
The receiver is stamped Eagle/359 as is the bolt carrier handle. This particular gun still has the original dust cover many times missing and the bolt release and scope rail which was deleted from may models at this late date. All numbers match.
The stock and upper hand guard still have at least 90+% of the original factory lacquer. The wood itself is late war and roughly finished, but in super condition. Other than a few small surface dings there are no chips or splits anywhere.
The gun comes with an original ZF-4 scope. It is marked G w Z4/, 1333/, ddx. The exterior condition is super. The scope itself crystal clear with the correct post and cross hair reticle. The mount is, as usual, a repro.
The bore, like the rest of the gun is really great. The rifling is razor sharp, mirror bright with just the slightest hint of some scattered frost.
