Weatherby Mark V .340 Weatherby Magnum
SALE PENDING
Description: Here is a very nice, Semi-Custom, Weatherby Mark V rifle chambered in .340 Weatherby Magnum. This cartridge is powerful enough to take any game in North America, even the Big Bears of Alaska. It is also a great all around cartridge for Africa. This rifle was made in the late 70s according to the original owner. It was made in Japan. The first year that he took it hunting, his horse rolled over on the scabbard and broke the stock. He had it repaired poorly and did not shoot it much after that. I purchased it several years later and replaced the broken stock with a Bell & Carlson stock. I have shot the rifle about 40 rounds and it shoots very well. Not long ago, I noticed that the original black paint on the stock was flaking off and I had my gunsmith cerracote the stock a kind of green camo color. My Gunsmith also applied cerracote to the metal in a semi matte black finish that compliments the stock. There is no scope but 1" rings and bases are included. (See Pictures) The bore looks perfect, the action is very smooth with a crisp trigger. It is equipped with a very effective muzzle brake. It has a 26" barrel that is extended to 28" with the brake. It is a very attractive and practical rifle that you won't mind taking to the hills to hunt. Please check out the pictures and contact me with questions. Thanks for looking.
