Weatherby 7mm Weatherby Magnum - MARK V, GERMAN, SUPERB CONDITION! vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Weatherby, Year 1969, 7mm Weatherby Magnum, 9lb 1oz, LOP 13 3/8" Serial Number: P36292 Famously known for its incredible action strength, the Weatherby Mark V has a nine lug bolt very similar to an interrupted screw breach on an artillery piece. This and other safety features make this gun one of the most robust rifles on the market. On its introduction in 1957, it was marketed as "The World's Strongest Bolt Action" and was designed to handle heavy Magnum rounds. The nine locking lugs allow for 54° bolt lift, a shorter movement allowing for increased clearance between the bolt handle and any accessories such as scopes that may be mounted on the rifle. Flutes machined on the bolt body aid in keeping debris out of the action for fast and smooth bolt manipulation. It is deservedly the flagship rifle of Weatherby firearms. Manufactured by J.P. Sauer and Sohn in West Germany, this rifle was build in 1969 - the last year of German production - and is a sought after vintage. The 7mm Weatherby Magnum offers flat shooting and tremendous velocity out of its 24" barrel. This gun has an exceptional bore and fired only a few times. The metal retains 99% blue complimenting the fine grained Walnut stock with fiddleback, perfectly executed skip line checkering, a rosewood pistol grip with inlet diamond and a rosewood forend cap enhance this classic Weatherby. This streamlined beauty weighs slightly over 9lb, carries a trigger pull of 4lb and a receiver tapped for a scope of your choice. A length of pull of 13 3/8" with a elegant Monte Carlo cheek rest, white line buttpad spacer, sling mounts and superb condition completes a package that will find a home quickly. Add to your Weatherby collection today and enjoy.
