Almost all W. German Weatherby's were chambered in Weatherby propritary (belted magnum) calibers..with the exception of some Varmintmasters (in 22-250.) and the relatively few chambered like this one in one of the worlds most versital of all chamberrings..mercially avail in loadings at one time from 55 gr Sabot type to 220 g; gophers to gorrilla's ...In addtion the literature we've read states that 1967 was the last year for the 9 lug bolt howver this one dates to 1968....
Mark V's are belived to be the strongest commercially produced action ever made and are chambered in cals up for the 460 Wby!
In addtion this gun has our favorite 26 " med weight barrel which should make the recoil equiv to most 243's or perhaps a bit more.
There are a number of mosdest huntiing marks on the attractive Weatheryby stock with its rosewood pg cap and forened tip while the metal is in very nearly new condtion.
This would make a terrifid hunting rifle capable and well sutied to anything on the Contenent with the exception of the Big Bears.

German Weatherby's were chambered in Weatherby propritary (belted magnum) calibers..with the exception of some Varmintmasters (in 22-250.) and the relatively few chambered like this one in one of the worlds most versital of all chamberrings..mercially avail in loadings at one time from 55 gr Sabot type to 220 g; gophers to gorrilla's ...In addtion the literature we've read states that 1967 was the last year for the 9 lug bolt howver this one dates to 1968....
Mark V's are belived to be the strongest commercially produced action ever made and are chambered in cals up for the 460 Wby!
In addtion this gun has our favorite 26 " med weight barrel which should make the recoil equiv to most 243's or perhaps a bit more.
There are a number of mosdest huntiing marks on the attractive Weatheryby stock with its rosewood pg cap and forened tip while the metal is in very nearly new condtion.
This would make a terrifid hunting rifle capable and well sutied to anything on the Contenent with the exception of the Big Bears.
