Weatherby Mark V Safari Classic .375 H&H Magnum
Description: Weatherby Mark V Safari Classic .375 H&H Magnum. This gorgeous and very rare rifle was manufactured in 1992, limited to only 140 units in the Safari Classic series. The rifle features low luster black finish metal components, which includes a 24" #3 contour barrel with a swivel mount-barrel band; quarter rib rear sight with two leafs, one folding, and a ramped, hooded, brass beaded blade front sight; the bolt body and magazine follower are engined tuned (jeweled), and the bolt knob is checkered on top and bottom; the floor plate is engraved with floral and scroll work and includes a banner marked "Safari Classic". The high grade American walnut stock features a satin oil finish; straight comb; shadow line cheek piece; classic-style rounded forend with an ebony cap; a steel grip cap; sling swivel stud and wrap-around pointed checkering. The forend has a gold inlayed Weatherby diamond initial plate with "L.U.D." engraved letters. Length of pull over a Pachmayr Old English recoil pad is 13 3/4" and the rifle weighs 8 3/4 Lbs.Condition: The rifle is in very good overall condition, but has some scratches in the wood and a nick in the barrel. The scratches are in the butt-stock, with five on each side, the most pronounced are the two on the right side. Also, the nick in the barrel is on top, halfway between the front sight and barrel band, and is about an 1/8" long. Also included is a "Weatherby Certificate Of Authenticity" and a pair of Leupold scope bases and quick detach rings. There are a total of 12 photographs on Cabela's gun library .
