Description:
A FANTASTIC Weatherby MK V DELUXE bolt action rifle chambered for the .270 Weatherby Magnum. I would estimate 99% of all bright shiny Royal (almost black) -blue intact, the amazing wood has a few minor handling marks, one looks like an old repair on the butt stock but nicely done smooth, I have a pointer showing the spot in the photos. 24" barrel and manufactured by Howa in Japan in 1987. The scope is a Weatherby 3X9 power variable is bright and clear also made in Japan, is in Buehler mounts. Skip line checkering and Rosewood grip cap (with white diamond) and forend tip. LOP is 13 1/2" to the Weatherby recoil pad. I had to send the rifle to Weatherby to get a bolt. The completely went over the rifle for safety and fitting of a new factory bolt $525.00 cost.(report will be included) Overall this is a fantastic MK V DELUXE in 99% condition and the ballistics on the 270 Weatherby Magnum are astonishing! Now, why did I need to replace the bolt? I bought this rifle in an for the NRA at Bud's Gun Shop (EGUNNER) in the photo's the rifle does not have the bolt in the rifle- but NOWHERE in the description did it mention,"There is no bolt with this gun!" so I bought it and had it shipped to my FFL. When the FFL unpacked it there was no bolt or any paperwork stating there was no bolt. I called Bud's and got the run around but they finally did a search and said there was no bolt. They did offer to take the rifle back but I really wanted it and I had bought it at a good price. My conversation became heated after a rep stated that they never said there was a bolt in the rifle after I had asked why that something that important would not be mentioned and it went down hill from there.I was treated VERY rudely and really had my intelligence questioned! They offered to give me the used price of a bolt at Gun Parts Corp for $78 that I took, of course there is no used bolts in the world available. When called back they wouldn't talk to me anymore, so I got a new BOLT! I can only say BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH BUD'S AS I FOUND MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE!
