A bead-blasted matte blue finish on the metal parts reduces the visibility of the firearm while hunting, increasing your odds of success. The Vanguard Wilderness has a fluted bolt with a cocking indicator, a three-position safety that gives the user the option of loading and unloading the rifle while it is on safe, and the ability to lock the bolt closed on safe while carrying the rifle over rough terrain.
