Description:
When Roy Weatherby designed the Mark XXII, he had a goal of making the best 22 rifles in the world. Whether he achieved the set goal or not, he did produce an awfully nice rifle. This one is a Gen 1, produced by Beretta. It features a better grade walnut Mote Carlo stock, skip line checkering, and a jeweled bolt. The action of the Mark XXII is unique. It has a tang safety, and the lever where the safety is often located, is the bolt release. It has also serves as the selector for semi-auto or single shot mode. The rifles are well-known for accuracy and serve well in competitions, with the single shot mode converting them into a form of straight line bolt action. .22 Long Rifle
