This gun can't be distiniquished from new as there effectively is not a mark on it. Chambered in 340 wby it would make a terrific Elk gun or an African Plains rifle. Sold new for over 2k with a limited (to 2 yrs from new) to shoot sub MOA with a guaranty from Weatherby. The fluted barrel is thought to make them more ridged and more accurate than other types. It is the heavier # 3 contour for improved accuracy and comes with a factory hand laid up fiberglass stock with Alum lugs.
