Vintage Firearms Inc. is pleased to offer this UNFIRED Weatherby Mark V Custom with Accubrake, manufactured in 1991 by Howa, Japan, it is serial number H219085, the rifle still has its original shipping box and test target. This Weatherby Mark V is chambered for the mighty .460 Weatherby Magnum cartridge, it is capable of taking any game in the world and can be loaded up or down to suit your needs. Weatherby’s are well known for their strength, this magnum rifle has a nine-lug bolt that uses the durable ‘Three-rings-of-steel’ design for extra strength and structural integrity, it can handle the heaviest loads. This example is in AS NEW and UNFIRED condition. The barrel has an overall length of 28”, 26” is rifled and it has a 2” Accubrake muzzle brake attached. The barrel shows 100% high luster factory finish and a crisp shiny bore. Taming the awesome firepower of the .460 Weatherby Magnum is a stock with a reverse Monté Carlo comb with cheek piece, a factory fitted Weatherby recoil plate and a forend that has a flat bottom making this a gun that is ideally suited to shooting from sandbags and branches while also providing an ergonomic hold for offhand shooting. The Californian Claro walnut features strong figure with fiddleback on the stock, and hand cut skip line checkering with Maplewood spacers framing the grip and rosewood forend caps, this rifle has been carefully handled and admired but not shot! This Weatherby Magnum rifle is stunning in every way, perfect 100% factory original bluing, perfect screws, jeweled bolt and follower, and superb wood to metal fit, it has a hinged base plate with a hand engraved Weatherby ‘Custom’- banner.
