Westley Richards 7x57 Bolt Action Magazine Rifle

Description:
Westley Richards 7mm Rimless "Best Quality Magazine Rifle" completed in 1955 for stock in the Westley Richards London Agency.
Based on a standard length Mauser action with an upgraded bolt shroud and 3-postion M70 type safety to accommodate a telescopic sight. Action is also drilled and tapped and rifle includes modern swing off, 1" rings, appropriately engraved with the Maker's name and rifle's serial number. The Original Mauser one-piece bottom metal is fitted with Westley's distinctive lever for the hinged floor plate. 
The rifle has "best quality" engraving on the action and bottom metal. 
The 22" barrel has an island rear sight with 1 standing/2 folding (100, 200, 300 yds) and Westley's combination brass bead and flip-up night sight with rear-folding sight protector. 
The stock has a RH beaded cheekpiece with a Monte-Carlo cheekpiece, the style of stock popular after WWII for both guns and rifles. The rifle has a 13 3/4" LOP over the original rubber recoil pad and a horn forend tip. The stock shield still has the original owner's very unique design or monogram. The full pistol grip has a grip cap with an oversized slotted center screw, that can be unscrewed to reveal a trap for the spare foresight.  
The rifle remains in excellent overall condition and has proven accuracy with factory ammo. Test targets available.
