24" BARRELS, FULL LENGTH RIB, EXPRESS REAR SIGHT, WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT FORESIGHT, DOUBLE TRIGGERS, CASE COLOR HARDENED FINISHED, PISTOL GRIP, CHECKERED STOCK PANELS, CAP BOX, 15" LOP, RUBBER RECOIL PAD, 16 LBS - 4 OZ

Like new English made droplock double rifle chambered for the .600 Nitro Express 3 Inch cartridge. It has a 24 inch blacked steel chopper-lump rifled barrels fit with ejectors, full length rib with doll's head rib extension, express rear sights, one standing with an aiming diamond on its face and regulated for 50 yards and three lined folding leaves regulated for 100, 150 and 200 Yards and Westley Richards patented combination front sight with tipped blade, folding moon sight and scroll engraved folding hood. The right barrel is roll marked "600 3 INCH NITRO EXP" while the left barrel is roll marked "REG FOR 900 GRN BULLET". Top of the rib is roll marked "WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO., ENGLAND". Barrels flats stamped with Birmingham proofs. The case color hardened droplock action with blacked bottom cover plate is engraved with English Arabesque scrolls, "WESTLEY RICHARDS" in a banner on both sides of the action body and has carved fences. The action is fitted with disc set strikers, non-automatic safety with gold-inlaid "SAFE" engraved ahead of the scored and engraved slide safe, case color hardened, and smooth blade double triggers protected by a blacked engraved trigger guard that extends to a full-length bottom strap with the serial number. Nicely figured reddish-brown Turkish walnut stock with checkered stock panels, pistol grip with case color hardened and engraved cap box, drop points, fine point pattern checkering with borders, beaded cheekpiece, swivel for sling on toe line of buttstock, vacant stock oval, Splinter fore-end similarly checkered with ebony tip and case color hardened and engraved Deeley style lever release. 15” LOP over a 7/8" Silvers style rubber recoil pad, 16 Lbs. - 4 Oz. Rifle resides in the makers oak & leather trunk case.
