1894 Winchester-Very Early Serial Number-Trades Considered
Description:
Up for consideration is a beautiful and extremely early 1894 Winchester Rifle chambered in 38-55 caliber. The rifle wears the searial number 148. This serial number was applied October 22, 1894. The rifle remains in nice condition showing the early guide rail 10 o'clock screw on the right of the receiver, one of the few true first models which was John Browning's original design. This rifle has nice bluing on the barrel and the receiver is mostly silvered out. Stocks look to have some extra finish but no cracks, major issues or sanding and the fit to metal is excellent. The hammer may be a replacement. The bore is excellent and the action seems to work very smoothly and the gun locks up with no looseness.
This rifle is an antique and can be shipped direct. Will ship priority and be professionally packaged.
