ADIRONDACK ARMS REPEATING RIFLE 44 RF
Description: Very a rare Example of a Adirondack Repeating Rifle! 44 RF . O.M.Robinson Owner and inventor of this rifle with a patent date of 1857. There where 2 models a 1st model and a 2nd model . This is a 2nd model . Only 600 guns made in totol production of the 1st and 2nd models ! Winchester bought this company in the early 1870's . Very few where made with a 28" barrel most where 24" . This is serial number 199 and has a 28" barrel ! The frame is brass . The frame is untouched and original with some handling marks . The barrel came with blue finish. The tube has all of its original finish still remaining. The barrel has all the original finish with some thinning. ( barrel will cleanup) gun comes with a factory Lollipop Rear sight and a sporting front sight . The rear sight on barrel was never installed. Special order lollipop sight was ordered instead. Beautiful Walnut stock is in excellent original condition ! Bore and mechanics are in excellent condition! Gun is in excellent working condition . Super nice example of a Adirondack Rifle !
