Manufactured in 1933. This is a first year production rifle and it is estimated that about 1500 were produced in this caliber, making it the rarest offering of this model. Standard features include round barrel, button magazine, dovetailed blade on base front sight, rear slot filled, and now sports a receiver peep sight. Sight holes for this type sight became standard around 1953 but were offered for years as an option. Finish is blue and sports walnut stocks with plain pistol grip, and a checkered steel butt plate. CONDITION: Fine. The frame retains 85% of its bright factory blue blending with butter smooth patina, mostly on base. The barrel retains virtually all of its blue with light handling marks and strong barrel legends. Nose cap is blue just starting to oxidize. Stocks are fantastic with some minor impressions. Mechanically functional. Bore is bright.
