Description: #28629, Winchester 348 WCF Model 71 Deluxe Rifle Made in 1949, A bore that looks like new, 24" round barrel with an integral front ramp, Original and Correct Buckhorn Series 3-C elevator sporting rear sight, Standard 2/3 length magazine tube, Deluxe grade wood with Deluxe checkering, 13 7/8" LOP over a 1" pad, 7 lbs. 15 oz., It retains 95% original barrel blue, The original receiver blue at 85%, The original wood finish remains at 86-88% with typical handling marks, The checkering is at 96%, All the screws remain at 98-99%, The bore is like new and is bright and shiny the entire way. The forward sling swivel is a band on the magazine tube and the rear sling eye is the standard 2 screw tiedown but the swivel is missing. The bolt face and inside of the receiver look as good as the outside and it appears this gun was not shot a lot and it remains in excellent mechanical condition. This is a solid hunting and shooting piece that will go another lifetime. This Model 71 has been stored for about 60 years in Northern California.
