1886 Winchester with a Extremely Rare 29” Barrel 1 of 33 made.
Description: *****Sale Pending***** Extremely Rare 1886 Winchester with 29" Barrel. Copy of the Cody research letter will be included. Please see picture of the letter and a picture of the rarity page that came from the Identifying Your Model 1886 Winchester book written by John T Madl. Serial number 91637 manufactured in 1894. 29" barrel and full magazine still showing 70 to 75% original blue. Barrel address is nice and sharpe and the bore is a 6.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. Special ordered Beaches front and rear Lyman tang sight. Receiver is a gray / brown patina with traces of case colors showing behind the hammer. Action functions nicely. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition showing normal handling marks you would expect to see from a gun this old. Correct toe in buttplate. 40-82 caliber. Not much more to say except I would like to again mention the extreme rarity of this gun. You will see 28" and 30" barreled 1886 Winchesters, but how 29" barrel 1886's are still out there.
