Description: ATTIC CONDITION 1873 .38-40 OCTAGON RIFLE, MADE 1893, this is one in which the full barrel, mag. and receiver blue has just naturally aged to a very pleasing plum- not brown, but not deep blue either- right in-between, with good blue in the more protected areas, mellow brass lifter, buckhorn and Winchester blade front sight, fine+ to exc. wood, original dust cover, some old, dark scattered pitting on dust cover, upper tang etc. is small and minor, bore is dark with good rifling and light pitting, fine screws, has a couple light scratches in the right side of the receiver, fine blue on the loading gate, really fine and attractive appearance overall.
