Here ia an interesting SRC that was shipped as full nickel back in 1890. Caliber is .38-40 Everything works. The bore is ok except for a slight bulge (I can't see it from the outside but there it is, right under the barrel band when I look with a bore light). Other than that the bore is probably a 5 or a 6, scattered roughness but pronounced rifling.The wood and mechanics are all nice. As might be expected after 130 years most of the nickel is gone but enough remains to let you know that it wasn't the usual blued gun (and the factory letter confirms it as well). Original sights and dust cover. Lettering is getting worn but still easily readable. An unusual gun for sure. Wild west show? We'll never know but will fill a gap in most collections. $60 shipping and incurance via priority mail to your door in most states. Layaway available.
