Here is a Winchester Model 1895 made in 1914. It is a rifle, not a carbine. I think the barrel was shortened to 20" but the local gunsmith disagrees and thinks the crown is factory. I'm pricing it as shortened. The wood is in excellent shape with an extra hole in the buttstock where the second sling swivel was. No cracks or gouges. Bore is dark but strong rifling and some mild fuzziness in the grooves. I have shot this rifle and it works fine and shoots accurately. It has the Lyman 21 receiver sight sight which sell for about $400 these days. Metal is in good shape, smooth with no rust or pitting and some bluing in protected areas. Overall it's not a museum piece but a good example of an older Winchester model that can be shot or hunted with. As with any 100 year-old gun a check with a gunsmith before shooting is recommended. $60 shipping and insurance via priority mail to your ffl or C&R.
