This rifle is one of sixteen like rifles shipped to Oakes and Company in 1888 for the control of the man eating tigers which had become a major problem ar that time.The caliber is .45-125 3-1/4" express with a thirty inch round barrel and shotgun butt.this gun survived with a much better bore than most since these guns say heavy use in a tropical environment.This gun is described in The Winchester Single Shot Book Vol. 2 on page 237 Mechanical function is good .I will include several loaded cartridges and formed brass ,but for display only as I did not load these myself and would not recommend their safety. there were only around 600 rifles made in this caliber.Gun comes with Cody letter and other documents.
