WINCHESTER 3RD MODEL 1883 HOTCHKISS BOLT ACTION MUSKET IN CALIBER 45-70

Description:
28 inch barrel with "Barley Corn" front sight and Buffington rear sight marked "R". Metal has an even brown color with some areas of touch up. 2-band musket forearm. Missing the front band. Straight grip stock with steel musket style buttplate. Wood shows wear and has a very dark appearance. There is some tiny tacks in a sort of design rear of the lower tang and also on the right side of the forearm towards the muzzle. Slotted tipped cleaning rod. Bore is bright and shiny with sound rifling. Five-shot magazine in the buttstock is accessed through an open bolt. Action functions nicely.
