Winchester Model 1894 Rifle 30WCF Made 1907
Description: Winchester Model 1894 rifle in the popular 30WCF (30-30) caliber. Standard configuration of 26" octagon barrel, full magazine, crescent butt with steel butt plate, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, Sporting rear sight with correct elevator, special order Lyman front sight, blued and case hardened finish. Serial number 415700 indicates 1907 production by the published Madis serial numbers. CONDITION: Barrel and mag tube retain 90% bright original blue drifting to plum. Receiver retains 15% original finish that has turned a light patina; same for the butt plate. Hammer and lever show traces of the original case colors. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks and normal expected wear, still tight and proud except for some wear loss at the butt plate toe area. Action functions crisply and retains the half cock safety. Bore is a 9 of 10, sharp rifling with minimal wear, bright and shiny, no pitting or rings, should shoot just fine - have a competent gunsmith check it over first as it has not been test-fired. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. A nicely-preserved Winchester in a desirable caliber and configuration that still has plenty of life left. TERMS: FFL or C&R required except in New York State, where this must ship to an FFL only (no C&R).
