WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 SPORTING RIFLE
Description: Cal 44 RF. Overall gun is in very nice condition with what appears to be an old, possibly factory, refinish on bbl and mag. Retains about 40% bright blue. Sharp corners and excellent markings. Brass receiver has turned a pleasing butterscotch patina. Correct brass buttplate and forend cap. Smooth action. Rear sight is a large stationary buckhorn type that is seen quite frequently on Henrys. Definitely of the period. Wood has a repair to the toe. Good fit at the wrist. Good looking sharp gun.
