#3891 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB, 249XXX
(late 1887), 44WCF with SST
Description:
#3891 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB, 249XXX
(late 1887), 44WCF with desirable single set trigger that does need some adjustingto work properly, but appears all there and in good condition. VG action, 6-7 bore with strong rifling but having scale and some lead build-up the entire length. Looks like it should still shoot well, but no known history of that fact since neither the previous owner or myself are “shooters”. Fine crisp metal, VG markings, smooth even plum brown patina but also does have some very light scattered spots of minor light pitting …however, it is a VERY handsome gun overall. The wood is VG++ with so deficits of mention, standard open sights and missing the little serrated elevator. (..about a $5 item at a gunshow). This is a much above average gun. VG++ $1995
