U.S.A./ -KING’S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29.1866 OCTOBER 16.1860- “Adjustable sighting notches for the rear sight are missing, forward of receiver is marked “32 W.C.F.". Bore is dark with pitting visible in the grooves, rifling remains visible. Metal is a dark brown patina with scattered areas of surface oxidation visible. Tang is marked “Model 1873" in between decorative scroll. Brass carrier is marked “32 CAL", wood is good with most of the handling wear visible on the butt stock. 3rd Model dust cover is present, action functions correctly but spring is weak.
