Winchester Model 1873 .44-40 (W9791)

Description:

Winchester Model 1873 .44-40 caliber rifle. Manufactured 1883. Factory letter states the rifle was reconfigured 4 months later to half round / half octagon, button magazine barrel. The barrel has an excellent sharp barrel address but no caliber marking and never had one, but it is .44-40 caliber. Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. Barrel has an even patina and the receiver is a gray/brown patina. Stock are very good overall. This is a sharp special order rifle in very good condition.
