1873 Winchester Special Ordered Rifle
Description: Sold 1873 Winchester Special Ordered 3rd Model Rifle. 24" octagon barrel, half magazine, and shotgun buttplate. See the copy of the Cody Research letter. Barrel is a brown / gray patina with some blue mixing in nicely. Very nice barrel address marking. Receiver retains about 35 to 40% original blue with the remainder a brown / gray patina. Action functions nicely. Bore is very good, I will rate it a 7.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition. The buttstock has one flaw, someone put a sling swivel hole in it years ago (see pic). A very nice antique 1873 Special Ordered Winchester Rifle that can be shipped directly to your doorsteps.
