EARLY 2ND MODEL 1873 WINCHESTER CARBINE .44-40 CALIBER

Description:
Early 2nd model 1873 Winchester saddle ring carbine .44-40 caliber. Bore is very good. Mechanics are very good as well. Has an original 20" barrel with full magazine. Excellent Winchester markings with original sights. The original dust cover is present. The top tang is marked "MODEL 1873", while the lower tang has the serial #64014, 1881 manufacture. The metal overall is a smooth dark age brown patina finish. Original buttplate with compartment for cleaning rods, original saddle ring present. The original wood is very good with the stock exhibiting a very well done carved bounding deer on the right side. The forearm exhibits age handling. All original and complete, shows use, but no abuse.
