Here is a nice clean 3rd Model Deluxe Winchester 1873, serial #252XXX in the original caliber, .44-40 or 44WCF. Standard 24” octagon barrel rifle has an upgraded factory checkered pistol grip and fore end, and a replaced front sight. Wood is excellent, but possibly redone, and little metal finish remains. Bore is clean and would rate a 7 on a scale of 1-10. This piece was shipped from the factory in 1887 per the Cody letter which is included. A great looking very collectible Deluxe Winchester.
