This is a model 1873 serial number puts its manufacture date of 1889. This is a 3rd model based on the Serial Number. 20\" barrel with carbine saddle ring. 44-40 in great shape for the age. Now the not so good, appears that the metal has been media blasted, extremely clean, no rust, everything appears to be correct and complete outside of the dust cover, it is a repop but the correct one just not period. The barrel still shows rifleing, the stock was broken at some point but actually repaired solid and smooth. All this is taken into account in the pricing.
