Winchester 1873 Deluxe .44-40

Description:
Offered here for the serious Winchester collector is a rifle rarely seen. It is an early 3rd Model 1873 Deluxe in the most desired caliber; .44-40. Serial number 252XXX was made in 1887 per the Cody letter that is included. Fitted with a “Rocky Mountain” front sight it has a very good bore that rates a 8 on a scale of 1-10. The wood is outstanding as the pictures show, but is so good it is probably refinished. The metal is patina, but this piece, overall, is an outstanding example of Winchester’s best workmanship.
