Winchester Model 1873 3rd Model Caliber 32/20 Lever Action Rifle
Description:
This is an unmolested 1890 manufactured 1873 Winchester in Caliber 32/20. The bore is bright with strong lands and groves and only lightly frosted from the mid bore to the muzzle. There is strong original blue on the lower tang and trigger area as well as on the sides of the action and protected areas around the side plates. Likewise there is some case coloring remaining on the inside of the lever. The buttstock shows no damage with the exception of light compression marks. Just above the lower tang on the lower part of the stock wrist at the right side appear to be some initials lightly pressed into the wood, hard to see but there. The forend has 3 larger compession marks but no cracks or wood chips missing. A lovely example of an unaltered antique Winchester rifle.
