3rd model 44-40 carbine serial no. 204877 made in 1886.20 inch barrel with a great bore. Original nickle finish with some wear spots.
Correct sights, dust cover,saddle ring and butt plate but no cleaning rods. I was told it was a presention gun to Ernest Brauer of the
Brauer harness & leather co. of StLouis Mo. that made holsters etc.as it is engraved on the left side plate E Brauer.Wood is in good
shape with no cracks but a few dents. Good smooth action & shiny bore. Gun looks like it was hauled a lot more than it was shot.
