1876 Winchester North West Mounted Police Saddle Ring Carbine NWMP SRC

Here is a nice example of the famous NWMP SRC. 1876 Winchester North West Mounted Police Saddle Ring Carbine. Serial number is seen and recorded in all the books that have the documentation on the NWMP SRC's. 22" barrel retains about 25-30% original blue with remainder a nice gray / brown patina. The bore is excellent, I will rate it a 9 on a scale from 1 to 10. All markings are nice and sharp. Action functions nicely. Receiver retains 5% original blue in protected areas. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition. Very nice NWMP Ribbon Cartouche displays nicely on the right side of buttstock (see pics). The initials RF are present on the left side wrist area of buttstock and on the side of barrel near rear sight (see pics). Rear sight is a ladder sight that has been on the gun from day one. I removed the sight and took a picture to show the fact that it never had a Spanish Meter Sight. This a well above average NWMP SRC, so don't miss an opportunity to buy a well documented piece of history. I will entertain trades and I also offer a layaway plan (contact me for the full details).
