Description: Sold Pending Funds - Winchester Model 1885 Low-Wall Semi-Deluxe .22 SHORT.
Offering from my personal collection and fresh from my vault after 25+ years and new to the public's eyes is a Winchester Model 1885 "Low-Wall" Semi-Deluxe in .22 Short. An untouched original condition rifle Mfg. circa 1905. Features include: Un-checkered (Semi-Deluxe) pistol grip stock with original Winchester grip cap, Nickel plated Swiss butt plate, 26" length #2 weight octagon barrel with, un-marked combination front sight, un-marked rear vernier tang sight and un-marked rear sight blank. The receiver retains most all original bluing with only high edges worn to a pleasing silver patina. Lever and hammer retain some original case color hardening. The barrel has a nice original blue finish with only minor light wear. Excellent bore with strong rifling. Buttstock retains most all original factory finish, there is a hairline crack visible at the upper tang approx 3/8" length (shown in photo). The forend has medium depth scratches on right side only (These are NOT cracks, as evidenced in attached photo with forend removed). Action functions properly, locks up tight and is very crisp. Trigger works as intended.
A nice example of a scarce 1885 target rifle that would make any collector proud.
Ships with insurance and personally packaged by myself. Ships from FFL to valid C&R or FFL holders only. NO shipping to California. 3-day inspection, per terms. Actual shipping costs and Insurance paid by buyer. (AK and HI extra).
I try my best to represent the condition of a firearm. I take photos of all parts of the gun with no intention to deceive anyone. Inspection period starts when the package is delivered. (Buyer's remorse, concerns over things you can see in the photos or that were noted in the description are not a valid reason for a refund). All refunds are solely at the seller's discretion and returns will not be accepted if they were not approved by the seller. No disassembly allowed during inspection.
Thank You.
