Very Scarce and Desirable Winchester Model 1885 High Wall Takedown 20 Gauge Shotgun
Description:
This is a seldom encountered Winchester 1885 High Wall shotgun. Only a few hundred of these are estimated to have been manufactured towards the end of production around 1913-1923. Brass bead front sight, two-line address and patent marking followed by the two-line nickel steel marking and then "20 GA. FULL" left side at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line patent and trade mark marking. The stock and forearm are standard grade walnut and have an ebony tip insert and a checkered hard rubber buttplate. The chamber gauges between 2 3/4 and 3 inches. The barrel retains 85 to 90% original blue with the normal handling marks. Very nice bore. Receiver retains 85 to 90% original blue with breech block still showing original case colors. Both the stock and forend are in very good condition with some scratches and dings showing. 26” round barrel. Takedown feature works nicely. All in all a super rare High Wall Shotgun in great condition. Please feel free to ask questions. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder.
