This is a thickside musket in 40-60 cal. A good looking musket with 80%+ blue remaining on the 32″ bbl. Some aging and thinning in spots but overall good blue. Receiver was case colored and has aged to a medium brown color. Nice markings on bbl and frame. Wood is also very nice with only one light chip missing in the upper corner. Muskets usually have a big ding or gouge somewhere but this one only has some small handling marks. An early gun at just under 10k serial range. Original musket sight. VG bore with just a trace of some light pitting towards the chamber area. Nice 1885!
