What a beautiful and powerful rifle. Made during the first year after the war, this is the deluxe model with beautiful grain, piano finish, original Winchester rubber plate and fine hand checkered stock. Barrel blue remains at 98% with some minor wear at muzzel and breech. Receiver retains at least 90% of high polish factory blue with wear on bottom and high edge. Original Winchester grip cap and sling eyes. Mint bore and action. Few hits to wood but not a single crack or chip and really great eye appeal. Serial #22729.
