About Us: We are crazy about Winchester pre-64 rifles. The history and collectability is our passion. We are not a brick and mortar store, yet operate from our home in southern Oregon. My FFL is for 50 years old firearms, curious and relics. We buy sell and trade original firearms and parts.
Winchester Curio & Relic 1886 45/70
Description: A beautiful example of Winchester's pre-century curio and relic vintage 45/70. Browning's first high power design lever action rifle. It's design was distinguishable by the vertical locking bars and case coloring was prominant and standard practice before 1901. The five digit serial number puts manufacturing in 1884, making this a non ffl transfer. Antiquity if you will, and can be shippied directly to your destination of choice. Bluing is thin in places on barrel and magazine, some patina color on the receiver and remaining metal parts, no rust. Metal has sharp edges indicating the rifle has not been referbished. Factory lettering is clear, crisp and easily read. Action function is smooth and locks up tight. The 28" barrel, rare length for this rifle. Wood is very good. This rifle would easily grade 60%-65% or higher over all. A fine example of a 45/70 period piece and great for anyones collection. Shipping will be $50.00 to lower 48 and higher for AK or HI.
