Winchester Model 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine conversion 45-70 cal Bore Exc bright shiny, Mech Exc tight smooth action, Wood is VG stock has some wear in the comb area and fits to the metal VG. Buttplate has some lines put into it. Has a 22” Rd Winchester barrel with carbine sights and VG markings on the barrel address and cal marking is exc. Metal overall is smooth with no pitting, The barrel and mag tube have a blue grey finish and the receiver has some case colors on the right side and traces on the left side. The receiver has the Model 1886 marking on the top tang and the bottom tang has the patent dates and the serial #102910 Mfg’d 1895 also has the saddle ring and bar on the left side . This is not and original 1886 Carbine but a gunsmiths conversion who used a 1886 rifle in great condition.
